Research at Verne Studies Centre

Our second day out from school is for studying: we are going to do some research at the Verne Studies Centre where all the collections acquired by the Museum are stored.

We are welcomed by two documentary makers who have already selected some elements to help us answer these questions:

-What has Nantes inspired Jules Verne in and which places in particular?

-Journeys to the center of the Verne work.

-What are the places explored in his novels?

There, we realize that the youth Verne passed in Nantes until he was 20 years old has strongly iinfluenced him (particularly the harbour and the Loire) and that his man was not content just imagining far travels because he was a great traveller himself for his time.
